Tobacco use is high in South Asian Communities. Take the chance to give up tobacco – whether you smoke cigarettes or bidi, chew tobacco in paan or gutkha.
Giving up tobacco takes time and effort, but with the help
of local smoking/tobacco support groups and The NHS Asian Tobacco Helpline, it will be easier for you.
The NHS Asian Tobacco Helpline gives you one-to-one support in Urdu, Punjabi, Hindi, Gujarati or Bengali.
Specialist language helplines are open from 1pm until 9pm every Tuesday.
